Adieu, Albertus Swanepoel

Albertus Swanepoel, the brilliant and beloved milliner, died July 25, 2024.

Albertus Swanepoel’s legacy is one of creativity, elegance, and genuine kindness, touching the hearts of many with his personal, reminiscent creations. You will be missed, dear Albertus. Your work and achievements were a constant source of inspiration to me and others in our millinery industry. Your genius, kindness, and encouragement will always be remembered, and your spirit and artistry will live on forever in our hearts.

I honor the great craft of millinery and make it relevant for today. My hats are personal, not precious; reminiscent, not retro.

Support the Albertus Swanepoel Memorial

“Albertus's business was self-financed and operated on a day-to-day basis. He was a true artist, dedicated to his craft, and there is no estate that matches the magnificence of his legacy. In this difficult time, we want to honor Albertus's memory and support his family.

Please consider donating to support our beloved friend Albertus Swanepoel’s memorial and to assist his devoted partner, Eddie, during this challenging period. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.”
